What youll do:

Students have the opportunity to complete a series of semesters either rotating between school/work or sequentially working onsite in Shaws manufacturing operations facilities in an engineering capacity

We will help you match with a facility that best utilizes your skills and interests to develop yourself and the onsite team

Here we empower and encourage our trainees to work with our engineering staff and apply both knowledge and problem-solving skills to ongoing facility projects; theseoften include tackling real-world issues and gives trainees valuable technical experience for a successful career start.

Project work typically begins more basic during the students first semester and will progressively get more advanced and impactful as the student gains experience

Upon completing multiple semesters as an intern or co-op you will have grown your own knowledge of working in a full-time position as an engineer in manufacturing and will be developmentally ready to interview for full-time positions with us upon graduation .

Qualifications:

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and working on a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical Industrial Operations Chemical Materials Automation or a related engineering field

Must have completed at least 3 or more semesters of college coursework

If you are a co-op you must be registered with your universitys official co-op program or career services office

Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 ; Full-time student status highly preferred
