Position Overview
The Documentation Specialist works directly for the Manager Engineering by assisting project engineers with handling and executing customer documentation and specifications required per customer job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with project engineers on job specific documentation requirements.
- Provide information and forms to the PE as they pertain the specific job requirements.
- Coordinate timing with PE and PM on documentation completion dates.
- Assist project engineers or their designee with filling out any forms including filling out job documentation as required based upon workload.
- Coordinate subbing out of documentation completion to other firms.
- Coordinate with sales department on customer documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers on customer documentation requirements as they pertain to job specification requirements.
- Responsible for maintaining GENESYS customers specifications for the company.
- Coordinate with GENESYS customers on ensuring that the company has their latest updated specifications.
- Train engineering personnel on filling out of customer documentation.
- Train various departments about customer documentation.
- Coordinate activities with Parts and Components personnel.
- Assist with mechanical design and detailing when not involved with DS activities.
What Makes You A Great Fit
- Associate Degree in Mechanical Design or 3-5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years of experience with Autodesk products Inventor AutoCAD and Vault.
- Have proficient skills with Microsoft Office programs

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment interacting with various customers and GENESYS personnel.
- Ability to be flexible with new and challenging software.

- Capable of reviewing multiple tasks and jobs and assign priorities.
