What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney a world leader in the design manufacture and service of aircraft engines Engineering Organization is seeking an experienced and visionaryM6 Engineering Data Officerto lead the transformation of data strategy and governance within our Engineering organization. This is a unique opportunity to drive innovation implement cutting-edge data frameworks and shape the future of data operations within Engineering.

• Lead the implementation of theEngineering Data Strategyto enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Develop and deployontological frameworksto standardize and optimize data structures and relationships.
• Oversee the transformation ofthe data product creation processesto enhance efficiency scalability and alignment with business objectives.
• Establish and lead theEngineering Data Governance Network ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with enterprise-wide data governance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Military Engines Commercial Engines PWC the other Functional Domains and Bus to ensure consistency and alignment with existing data governance roles and practices.
• Act as a thought leader and advocate for data-driven innovation within the Engineering organization driving cultural change and fostering a data-centric mindset.
• Provide strategic guidance on emerging data technologies and trends to ensure Pratt & Whitney remains at the forefront of the aerospace industry.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Data Science Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in engineering data management or a related field or 10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree
• Demonstrated expertise indata strategy developmentontological frameworks anddata governance implementation.
• Travel up to 15%

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Masters or Ph.D. in a related field.
• Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Familiarity with advanced data analytics machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.
• Data Engineering Platforms and Tools Cloud Platforms:Proficiency with cloud-based platforms such asAWS (Amazon Web Services)Microsoft Azure orGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP) including services like S3 Redshift BigQuery Azure Data Lake and Data Factory.
• Data Pipelines and ETL Tools:Experience with tools likeApache AirflowApache NiFiTalend orInformaticafor building and managing data pipelines.
• Big Data Frameworks:Expertise inHadoopApache SparkKafka or similar frameworks for processing and streaming large-scale datasets.
• Database Management:Advanced knowledge of relational databases ( Server) and NoSQL databases ().
• Data Modeling:Experience in designing and implementingdata warehousesdata lakes anddata meshes using tools likeSnowflakeDatabricks.
• Containerization and Orchestration:Familiarity withDockerKubernetes and CI/CD pipelines for deploying scalable and reliable data solutions

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process candidates may be asked to attendselect steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site hybrid or remote.

The salary range for this role is 157200 USD - 298800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
