Engineer

Maintains and repairs heating cooling ventilation refrigeration and related controls and accessories pneumatic and electronic equipment temperature controls emergency electrical equipment locks and hardware electrical systems tests and repairs fire safety equipment sprinklers alarm systems patient equipment and all running repairs for daily operation of the hospital.

This position performs facilities maintenance operations and technical work. It does not include the practice of professional engineering as defined by state law. Engineering design calculations and approvals requiring licensure are performed by licensed Professional Engineers where required.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Completed courses in apprenticeship program - journey engineer.

Experience: Four years minimum experience. Knowledge of heating cooling and ventilation.

Valid drivers license and a driving record that meets insurance carrier requirements. Electrical and refrigeration preferred.
