Summary:

Engineer is responsible for keeping the hotel running smoothly and looking sharp. They will facilitate simple day-to-day repairs long-term fixes and are responsible for being proactive in maintenance-related issues.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor boilers chillers pumps compressors and other stationary equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Perform routine inspections of guest rooms public areas and equipment to identify needed repairs
  • Maintain and repair electrical plumbing HVAC and mechanical systems throughout the hotel
  • Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance including after-hours emergencies
  • Maintain cleanliness safety and appearance of hotel grounds and exterior features such as swimming pools and parking lots
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures including use of protective equipment and proper disposal of hazardous materials
  • Live up to high safety standards follow guidelines and tell your supervisor about any incidents dangerous conditions or unsafe equipment
  • Always keep an eye out for improvements follow the preventative maintenance calendar and keep everything working and efficient at all times
  • Work closely with other engineering and maintenance staff to coordinate activities and contribute to a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests
  • Be ready to take on extra duties as and when the team needs you


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 1-2 years Hotel Engineer Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in stationary engineering is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Stationary Engineer with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Proficient in the operation maintenance and repair of boilers HVAC systems Electrical and other stationary equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to implement them effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently or constantly to carry push pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
  • Ability to reach overhead utilize both hands to bend over and to stoop and kneel.
  • Ability to operate various types of maintenance equipment.
