Our Façade Engineering practice provides consulting services to architects building owners and developers. Our suite of specialty analyses helps solve complex design challenges improves constructability maximizes energy efficiency and increases security. We offer a range of services for the full building life cycle to help clients execute ambitious architectural visions. Our consulting services include materials research specialty analyses detailed design engineering and construction support and glass and façade failure the technology-driven cladding industry innovation comes with the territory. Nearly two-thirds of the facades we design and engineer are based on customized systems that involved unique combinations of materials.
Your Role
As an Engineer Intern in our Facades Practice you will gain hands-on experience working on innovative building envelope projects from high-rise curtain walls and complex cladding systems to adaptive-reuse and specialty façade solutions. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers architects and façade specialists gaining practical exposure to the structural and performance considerations of façade design.

Contribute to structural analysis design and detailing of façade systems including curtain walls unitized panels and other cladding systems.
Assistin reviewing structural loads wind seismic and thermal performance criteria for façade components.
Collaborate with in-house engineers architects and external consultants to support coordinated high-quality façade designs.
Assistin preparing drawings technical specifications and documentation within a BIM environment.
Learn about constructability reviews mock-up testing and facade performance evaluation.
WhatYoullBring
Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Civil Structural or Architectural Engineering.
Strong academic record and interest in structural and façade engineering.
Familiarity with Revit AutoCAD Rhino or other modeling software is a plus.
Curiosity attention to detail and eagerness to learn from experienced engineers.
Compensation
The rate for this position generally is$25-$ range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same pay rates may vary from the range as permitted byNew YorkEqual Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors including operational needs individual education qualifications and experience work location and comparison to employee already in the role as well as other considerations permitted by law.
