Job Description:
- The Engineer 2 position requires 5-7 years of related experience and an accredited bachelors degree.
- Responsible for applying engineering processes design criteria and software applications to design and construct power related systems.
- Supports estimate preparation develops design options and prepares construction specifications.
- Provide guidance oversight and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions cost estimates and construction packages.
Job Responsibilities:
- Job responsibilities include creating a safe work environment by putting safety first.
- Understand the process used for planning design operation construction and maintenance.
- Understanding the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design construction and maintenance.
- Understanding design practices and work processes.
- Using all software applications used in design understanding industry and client design standards.
- Supporting design standard and criteria development for the system supporting construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations estimating material for projects transmitting construction packages and supporting specifications.
Skillsets & Expertise:
- Skillsets and expertise required for this position include good engineering knowledge problem-solving skills some discretion making independent decisions based on procedure and review with supervisor.
- Discipline software knowledge strong work ethic positive attitude and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff design engineering staff and/or vendors.
Education:
- Accredited bachelors degree.
