The Opportunity

Energy projects dont need another person managing a spreadsheet. They need someone who owns the outcome.

Alpha Inc. is looking for a Project Manager I Energy who can take complex energy utility power reliability and infrastructure projects from inception through completionand keep cost schedule quality safety and client expectations moving in the same direction.

This is a role for a project professional who knows that a schedule slipping today becomes a client problem tomorrow. Someone who catches scope changes before they become margin killers. Someone who communicates before people have to ask and gets the field subcontractors clients and internal teams aligned around what needs to happen next.

Youll manage projects for both private and public-sector clients with responsibility for budgets schedules contracts change orders project documentation risk and ultimately successful delivery.

As a Project Manager I youll be expected to put all three into action.

What Youll Own

Own the Project Lifecycle

• From inception through closeout you own the project.
• Youll oversee energy utility power reliability and infrastructure-based projects and work to ensure commitments are met deadlines hold budgets stay controlled and the finished product meets Alphas standards.
• Youll organize direct and partner with project teams while working closely with Project Managers Superintendents Foremen and other stakeholders to keep execution moving.
• When obstacles show upand they willyou dont just document the problem.
• You help solve it.

Protect the Schedule

• A schedule isnt something we create at kickoff and rediscover when the project starts running late.
• Youll actively manage project deadlines and coordinate with field leadership and project teams to identify issues early remove roadblocks and keep deliverables moving toward completion.
• When the plan changes youll help build the next plan.

Know the Numbers

• Great Project Managers understand that delivering excellent work and delivering profitable work arent competing priorities.
• We expect both.
• Youll manage project budgets and track financial performance including cost control and profitability.
• Youll also manage project estimates contracts change orders and work orders while identifying scope changes that could affect budget or schedule and negotiating appropriate adjustments when necessary.
• You should know where your project standsnot just where everyone hopes it stands.

Lead the Team Without Creating Silos

• Project management at Alpha is a team sport.
• Youll collaborate with Project Managers Superintendents Foremen field leadership subcontractors internal departments clients and other stakeholders to keep everyone aligned around project goals and deliverables.
• That requires regular communicationnot radio silence followed by an emergency meeting.
• Youll initiate conversations provide project status updates address issues and concerns and make sure the right people have the right information when decisions need to be made.

Manage Scope Before Scope Manages You

• Projects evolve.
• Successful Project Managers recognize those changes quickly and understand what they mean for cost schedule resources and client expectations.
• Youll monitor project scope identify changes manage change orders and work orders and negotiate adjustments when necessary.

• Project documentation isnt administrative noise.

• Youll prepare and maintain comprehensive project records including progress reports schedules financial updates and correspondence while ensuring documentation complies with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Manage Risk Before It Becomes a Crisis

• Youll identify potential project risks investigate serious issues and help implement corrective action before problems compound.
• Youll also help mitigate risks throughout execution and support a smooth transition to the client at project completion.
• And throughout the project youll help ensure compliance with applicable federal state and local safety laws regulations codes and rules.

What You Bring

This isnt an entry-level Project Manager position.

Were looking for someone who already understands commercial-scale energy or electrical projects and is ready to take meaningful ownership of project performance.

You bring:

• 5 years of experience in commercial-scale renewable energy or electrical projects.
• 2 years of Project Management or supervisory experience.
• Experience with Battery Storage Systems and Utility-Scale Distribution is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency with Project Management software.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam Adobe Acrobat or HCSS is preferred.

Just as importantly you know how to translate experience into execution.

• You finish strong. Closeout isnt an afterthought. A successful project ends with the same discipline it started with.
