Job Summary
PURPOSE: To establish an Employment Register to fill One(1) current vacancy in the Ambulance Department and future vacancies as they occur.
SUMMARY OF JOB
Under general supervision provides emergency pre-hospital transportation and assist their EMT level partner with movement and care of the sick and injured; may provide basic life support including medical evaluation treatment stabilization and patient care at the scene of a pre-hospital emergency; perform other duties as required. Reports to the EMS Manager.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDFOR ADMISSION TO EXAMINATION Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must possess and maintain EMR Licensure; registered and authorized Basic Life Support CPR for Heath Care Provider certificate; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Must possess and provide certifications and a valid Class D drivers license with have a clean driving record and pass a criminal background check. Must be honest and exhibit good moral/ethical physical condition including back vision and a copy of your valid Drivers License and certifications with application.
KIND OF EXAMINATION(ENTRANCE AND PROMOTIONAL)This examination may consist of a written test a rating of training and experience an oral panel interview or any combination thereof. Applicants must submit accurate detailed application forms providing all requested information including descriptions of work experience names and addresses of previous employers and dates employed. Qualified applicants will be notified of the time date and place of any assembled test(s) which may be given.
