Note: Must be admitted to and in good standing with the New York State Bar and have at least 1 year of directly relevant employment law experience.

Job Description

• Advise and represent employers on a broad range of employment law and labor relations matters.
• Counsel clients regarding applicable employment laws regulations policies and workplace practices.
• Provide practical guidance on compliance employee relations and other workplace issues.
• Conduct employment-related investigations and provide strategic recommendations.
• Develop and deliver client training on employment laws regulations and workplace best practices.
• Defend clients in administrative proceedings and State and Federal Court when necessary.
• Draft and review employment agreements policies and other legal documents.
• Analyze issues involving wage and hour requirements harassment discrimination and other employment matters.
• Assist clients with labor relations matters including labor contracts and related negotiations.
• Build strong client relationships through responsive practical and business-minded legal counsel.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firms employment labor litigation and education practices.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Bar admission and good standing.
• 1 year of employment law experience required.
• Strong legal research writing analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to counsel and advocate effectively for clients.
• Experience with employment litigation administrative proceedings investigations compliance or labor relations is highly valued.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
