Job Summary

Job Overview

As a PCT in the Emergency Department youll support nurses in caring for infants children adults and geriatric patients experiencing real or perceived emergency conditions. Youll assist with hygiene mobility vital signs documentation and provide calm compassionate support including care for patients nearing the end of life. Your steady presence and attention to detail help ensure patients receive safe highâquality care in a dynamic fastâmoving environment.

What Youll Do

  • Assist with bathing oral care toileting and linens
  • Support safe mobility repositioning and transfers
  • Monitor and record vital signs
  • Document patient information accurately
  • This role includes exposure to bodily fluids and sensitive patient situations
  • Safely lift/move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

About the Henderson Emergency Department

The Henderson ED is a 17âbed unit with two critical care rooms one isolation room one mental health room and 13 general treatment rooms. The department includes triage a reception area a patient/family lounge a Hazmat/decontamination area and a quiet room caring for approximately 24000 patients each year. With strong teamwork and exposure to a wide range of emergency conditions the ED offers an excellent environment for building fastâpaced clinical skills.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within six months of hire
  • Basic Dysrhythmia Class within six months of hire
  • Optional Advanced Splinting Class
  • High school diploma or GED required; must be 18 years of age
  • Completion of required PCT classes ED orientation and hospital competencies
