Embedded SW Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Software Engineer in Orlando Florida for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This full-time onsite role focuses on embedded real-time software development using the Ada programming language. You will participate in the complete software development lifecycle from requirements analysis through code implementation integration and formal qualification testing while supporting advanced aerospace and defense programs.

Required Skills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Active Secret security clearance
• Minimum of 3 years of embedded real-time software development experience using the Ada programming language
• Minimum of 3 years of software and hardware integration and testing experience
• Experience supporting all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis implementation and formal qualification testing

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Linux and VxWorks operating systems
• Experience working as a software engineer on multi-disciplined teams
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines

What Youll Do

• Develop embedded real-time software using the Ada programming language
• Analyze software requirements and implement software solutions
• Perform software and hardware integration activities
• Participate in formal qualification testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle
• Support mission-critical aerospace and defense software programs
