Job Summary
Title:Embedded Software Development Engineer
Location:Redmond WA
Duration:6 months possible extensions
Compensation:$70-75/hr
Work Requirements:Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
This is a fully onsite position.
THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
- Develop embedded software using Rust C C or other modern programming languages.
- Develop device drivers and system-level applications for embedded hardware interfaces including I2C SPI CAN and similar communication protocols.
- Develop and enhance Linux kernel and RTOS features.
- Implement security features for embedded systems.
- Collaborate closely with hardware and software engineering teams to support board bring-up integration and system validation.
- 3 years of experience across the full software development lifecycle including coding standards code reviews source control build processes testing and deployment.
- Hands-on experience developing software for embedded systems including board bring-up firmware deployment/flashing and operating system integration.
- Strong programming experience with C/C Python and Linux.
- Experience developing production software in Rust.
- Experience with cloud-based development tools or AWS environments.
