Job Summary
The Poway Unified School District is seeking applications for the 2026-2027 school year. Please note that this is posting is for an ELIGIBILITY POOL only. As positions at the middle school or high school become available candidates may be contacted directly by school sites.
This is an Eligibility Pool only - once positions become available school sites may contact candidates directly for must submit all required documents to be considered including a valid teaching REQUIRED:A valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential - Music or other valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching music.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:All required documents MUST be scanned and attached prior to submitting an application for this position. Incomplete applications will not be considered.1. Applicants must have an English Language Learners (CLAD credential) in order to be considered for the position.2. Copy of single subject teaching credential (Music or other valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching Music).3. Copy of Transcript (Official transcripts are required upon hiring).4. Current resume.5. Letter of introduction addressed to Colin Young Director of Human Resources.6. Three (3) letters of reference signed/dated within the past 12 months. Applicants are encouraged to include at least one (1) letter of reference from a supervising or site administrator. Applicants who have never held a full-time position are encouraged to have a letter of reference from a site administrator where they completed their student teaching.7. For phone references be sure to include the references most current cell phone number and email address.8. All applications must be submitted through EDJOIN; no hard copy documents will be INDUCTION:Poway Unified School District offers a teacher induction program to clear the CA preliminary credential to qualified individuals at no cost to the employee.
