POSITION TYPE: Licensed - Part Time (0.5 FTE)
WORK DAYS: 190 regular work days (if August Start Date)
PAY:Pay for the 2026-27 school yearranges from $48925to $94049 (Full Time Teaching). Placement is dependenton verifiable experience and education level. We also cover your PERS contribution. Salary will be adjusted based on job share agreement.

Job Goal: Stayton Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team in a job-share arrangement for a full-time 1st-grade teaching position. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes academic excellence and social-emotional development in students. This role requires collaboration with a co-teacher to ensure seamless instruction and a cohesive classroom experience.

Responsibilities
- Co-develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Collaborate with a co-teacher to share responsibilities for classroom management lesson delivery and student assessment.
- Create a positive inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing timely feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with students parents and staff to build strong relationships and promote student success.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and innovative teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with school staff and specialists to support the needs of all students including those with diverse learning requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance and prepare reports as needed.
- Contribute to the school community through participation in events meetings and committees as required.

Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Elementary Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification for the state of Oregon.
- Experience in elementary education preferably in a job share or collaborative teaching environment.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a partner teacher.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom culture.
- Proficiency in using technology for teaching and administrative purposes.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and maintain a flexible approach to teaching.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
