Elementary Science Tutors (Grade 5)

Schedule:
Monday - Friday 10:45-11:45

Compensation:
$20-25 per hour

Positions Available:

Townewest Elementary is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic tutors to provide small-group academic support in science for students in grade 5. Tutors will work closely with students to reinforce grade-level skills build confidence and support academic growth in a structured after-school setting.

• Provide small-group instruction inscience aligned with grade-level standards

• Support skill development through targeted practice and guided instruction

• Assist students with comprehension fluency problem-solving and foundational math skills

• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed

• Create a positive supportive and engaging learning environment

• Collaborate with school staff as needed to support student success

• Minimum 1 year of experience working with elementary-aged students in a classroom tutoring or academic support setting

• Experience withscienceinstruction for grades 5 preferred

• Strong communication and classroom management skills

• Ability to work effectively with small groups

• Dependable professional and student-focused

• Familiarity with elementary curriculum and instructional strategies

• Patience enthusiasm and a passion for working with children

• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
