Job Summary
The Electronics Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing troubleshooting repairing and testing electronic equipment and components. This role requires strong technical knowledge of electronics board-level troubleshooting soldering and the use of diagnostic equipment to resolve hardware and configuration issues.
- Diagnose and repair electronic devices and components at the board level.
- Perform fault isolation signal tracing circuit analysis and configuration troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret schematics blueprints and technical documentation.
- Use through-hole and surface-mount soldering techniques to complete repairs.
- Operate diagnostic and testing equipment including multimeters oscilloscopes and signal generators.
- Apply knowledge of electronic fundamentals digital components and logic circuits.
- Maintain quality productivity and safety standards.
- Support additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and blueprints.
- Experience with board-level diagnostics and repair.
- Proficiency using testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Technical education in Electronics or a related field.
- A Certification and/or IPC Certification.
- Experience with through-hole and surface-mount soldering.
- Work is primarily performed in a clean-room environment requiring ESD protection.
- Occasional overtime or non-standard work hours may be required based on business needs.
