Job Summary
PositionSpecificResponsibilities/Accountabilities
Primary Responsibilities
Managefull lifecycle ofelectronic and continuing resources: participate in selection and de-selection; coordinate demos/trials and manage feedback needed for decision making;lead license negotiationreview licensetermsand support relevant LMU offices in final approval of contracts; activate resourcesin library systems tomake them accessible to the LMU community; resolve problems related to e-resource access communicating with vendors and library staff about such problems and their resolution; maintain detailed vendor resource and license data in the electronic resource management system.
Develop supportand promotelibrary initiativesrelated to emerging digital content including open access resources:integraterelevant openmaterials intolibrary e-resourceworkflowsto enhance awareness and effective use of electronic resources; manageandsupporttransformativeagreementsand promote themto the campus community;work withWHH liaisonsto supportfacultyin their use ofopenresources; participate as part of team supporting library and campus Open Educational Resource(OER)initiatives.
Collaborate in developing and managing effective workflows for gathering usage and other metrics related to e-resources; lead efforts toanalyzethisdatatosupport collection decisions and thelibrarys goal ofthoughtful and informedstewardship of university resources.
Develop library policies and workflowsfor continuations; managedepartment staff and students in theacquisition receiving claiming and maintenance of continuations; in coordination with Collections Management departmentdevelopappropriate retention and withdrawalprocedures forphysical serials collections.
Train mentor and support the work of the Electronic Resources Assistant and as appropriate the Receiving Assistantanddepartment work-study students.
Participate in professional responsibilities as requiredincludingliaison responsibilities for selected subject areas and library and university committee work.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Location & Hours
This position reports to the William H. Hannon Library on the universitys Westchester campus. Incumbent should expect to primarily work on campuswith hybrid schedule negotiable two days/week in accordance with university policy. Typical daily schedule is negotiable within core business hours (7am-7pm) Monday-Friday.
Qualifications
A Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge skills and abilities needed toanticipate and adapt tochanges relatedtoelectronic resources.
Minimum oftwoyears of professional academic library experience with extensive experience inlibraryresource acquisition licensing and management. Experience managing electronic resources and/or acquisitions in Ex Libris Alma/Primo.
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
Strong project management skills and experience developing workflows and writing procedures.
Knowledge of scholarly communication issues open access intellectual property and copyright issues and emerging trends in scholarly publishing.
Awareness of accessibility guidelines for digital content.
Ability to analyze budgetary usage and other data to inform assessment and collection development decisions.
Exemplary written oral and presentation communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to win the trust and confidence of faculty librarians and other library staff and to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-based organization.
Ability to represent the department the library and the institution effectively through contact with userslibrary vendorslibrary consortiaand professional organizations.

Hiring Salary Range
This position is exempt with a minimum starting salary of $94300. The offer will be dependent on experience and determined in conjunction with an internal pay equity assessment.
