Job Summary

As an Electronic Lab Technician you will play a vital role in supporting the research and development of electronic systems and components. You will assist engineers and scientists in conducting experiments testing prototypes and troubleshooting electronic equipment to ensure functionality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the assembly testing and calibration of electronic prototypes and devices.
  • Conduct experiments and tests under the guidance of engineers or scientists following established procedures and protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic equipment and instruments.
  • Record and analyze test data documenting observations and findings accurately.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports summaries and presentations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab space ensuring proper storage and handling of equipment and materials.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Required Skills
  • Basic understanding of electronic principles and components.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes multimeters function generators).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in conducting experiments and recording data.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with soldering and circuit board assembly techniques.
  • Experience with electronic design software (e.g. Altium Designer Eagle).
  • Knowledge of basic programming languages (e.g. C Python) for embedded systems.
  • Experience with electronic troubleshooting and repair.
Education Requirements
  • Associate degree or technical certificate in Electronics Technology Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Certification in electronics or related field (e.g. IPC certification) preferred.
Required Experience
  • 13 years of experience in a laboratory or technical environment preferably in electronics.
