Contract Details
  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 5 months (possible extension; potential to convert to FTE)
  • Pay Rate: $42.00$43.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: First 68 weeks will be a training period MondayFriday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM. After training: 10:00 PM 8:00 AM. Candidates will work rotating shifts; every 4 weeks days off will shift.
  • Overtime: Overtime applicable.
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Job Summary

As a CBRE Electrician you will inspect repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function responsible for providing support preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee electrical and lighting systems general operation repair and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
  • Check repair and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves motors controls switches gauges wiring fans pumps compressors condensers cores and pipes.
  • Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection testing and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
  • Work orders will be assigned through a work order management system.
  • Working as part of a team and will have independent work.
Required Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word Excel Outlook etc.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills: add subtract multiply divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Highly professional attitude.
  • Good customer service skills.
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma GED or trade school diploma required.
  • Journeymans license required.
  • Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes.
  • Valid Drivers license required.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
Required Experience
  • 57 years of job-related experience.
  • 34 years of job-related experience with a High School Diploma GED or trade school diploma (minimum threshold per role requirements).
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping standing walking climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Work site is currently under construction.
  • Mandatory background check: CBRE Safety Specific with Drug Screen.
