Job Summary
Are you ready to keep critical systems running and make a real impact in your community EPCOR is hiring a full-time Electrician I or II to join our Lake Havasu District. This is your opportunity to work on advanced electrical systems that power essential water and wastewater facilities. This position provides electrical support for water and wastewater facilities throughout Parker Lake Havasu City and Mohave Valley Arizona.
- Perform electrical and process control equipment maintenance at well sites water plants pumping stations and other facilities.
- Install maintain troubleshoot repair adjust calibrate and fabricate a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment including generators motors relays switch gears instrumentation alarm circuits and programmable controllers.
- Evaluate part and equipment failures; order parts materials and supplies required for electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Interact with contractors and support installation of process control equipment.
- Collaborate with Instrumentation and Controls Engineers on design review and implementation of process control systems.
- Ensure operational integrity meets regulatory and company standards for quality environment reliability health safety and security.
Work Environment & Expectations
You may encounter exposure to dust pollen chemicals fumes and potable water while performing your duties. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential along with a commitment to working safely and fostering a positive collaborative atmosphere with colleagues and the public. Employees are expected to maintain a professional image through both conduct and appearance. The role also requires flexibility as you may be subject to callbacks overtime when operational needs arise and occasional out-of-town work.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a recognized four-year apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
- Two years of industrial electrician experience at a skilled level.
- Grade 1 ADEQ certification is desired.
- Valid Arizona drivers license with excellent driving record.
- Experience in electrical/process controls within water and wastewater utilities is highly desired.
- Knowledge of utility system maintenance programs and working knowledge of electrical mechanical and process control equipment.
- Computer proficiency with Word and Excel.
- Electrician I: Minimum of two years of on-the-job experience or equivalent.
- Electrician II: Minimum of three years of on-the-job experience or equivalent.
