Job Summary

MalaceHR is seeking an experienced Electrician to support a large pharmaceutical facilities operation consisting of six buildings. This position is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting repairing and supporting electrical systems throughout the facility.

The ideal candidate will have 35 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience a strong team-player mentality and the willingness to assist other skilled trades when needed. While this position is primarily electrical the Electrician will work closely with HVAC technicians boiler operators and other members of the facilities team to ensure reliable building operations.

Experience working in a pharmaceutical GMP critical environment or large commercial facility is highly preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install maintain troubleshoot and repair electrical systems equipment wiring and components in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment throughout the facility.
  • Inspect and service electrical components including transformers switchgear circuit breakers panels motors and related equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical system and equipment failures using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and identify appropriate corrective actions.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints schematics technical diagrams and equipment documentation.
  • Respond to facility service requests and electrical emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with HVAC technicians boiler operators and other skilled trades to troubleshoot and resolve facility issues.
  • Assist other trades and facilities personnel as needed to support overall building operations.
  • Support maintenance operations across a six-building pharmaceutical campus.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of preventative maintenance repairs inspections and material usage.
  • Utilize the facilitys Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document and track work orders when required.
  • Follow all company client OSHA NEC and governmental safety requirements.
  • Perform work in accordance with pharmaceutical facility procedures and applicable GMP requirements.
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma GED or equivalent vocational/technical training.
  • 35 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting maintenance and repair.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints schematics and technical documentation.
  • Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-trade facilities maintenance team.
  • Willingness to assist HVAC technicians boiler operators and other trades when needed.
  • Strong communication teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Journeyman Electrician license or certification strongly preferred.
  • Master Electrician license or certification.
  • Previous experience working in a pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environment.
  • Experience within a large commercial industrial manufacturing or critical facilities environment.
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and integrated controls.
  • Knowledge of low-voltage systems including fire alarm security and data/telecommunications systems.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience working within a CMMS.
  • Previous experience supporting multiple buildings or a large facilities campus.
