Our client is a growing Southern California electrical contractor specializing in large-scale electrical construction. The Electrical Superintendent will lead field execution for major multifamily electrical construction projects in the San Diego market. This role will oversee day-to-day field operations manpower materials equipment scheduling safety quality and productivity.
The ideal candidate has significant experience managing electrical construction on large-scale multifamily projects including apartments college dormitories military housing or similar high-density developments. Single-family residential experience alone will not meet the requirements for this position.
- Lead day-to-day field operations for large-scale multifamily electrical construction projects.
- Plan and coordinate manpower materials equipment subcontractors and project logistics.
- Lead develop and hold Foremen and field personnel accountable for safety quality and productivity.
- Monitor project schedules productivity job costs forecasting and quality.
- Partner with Project Management and the General Superintendent to anticipate manpower needs and project challenges.
- Ensure electrical installations comply with the NEC applicable building codes contract documents and project specifications.
- Maintain accurate field documentation including reports job diaries and as-builts.
- Coordinate with general contractors owners and other project stakeholders.
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure company safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Identify and resolve potential project issues before they impact schedule cost or performance.
- Oversee Foremen and electrical crews based on project size and complexity.
- Ensure projects are executed safely efficiently on schedule and within budget.
- Primarily field-based on active multifamily construction projects.
- Regularly required to walk active construction sites and inspect electrical work.
- Ability to work around construction equipment materials elevated work areas and varying job site conditions.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Ability to travel to project locations throughout the San Diego area as required.
- California General Electrician Journeyperson License required.
- 10 years of experience managing and/or overseeing multifamily electrical construction projects for an electrical contractor.
- Strong experience with large-scale multifamily projects such as apartments college dormitories military housing or comparable high-density developments.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver projects safely on schedule and within budget.
- Proven field leadership experience managing Foremen and electrical crews.
- Strong understanding of electrical construction methods NEC requirements and applicable building codes.
- Strong organizational planning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with field teams Project Management General Contractors owners and other stakeholders.
- Comfortable using common construction and business technology.
- Experience with PlanGrid Bluebeam AccuBid Excel or similar systems is beneficial.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
- $130000 - $175000 base salary depending on experience
