Electrical Estimator

The estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates on routine small projects under direct supervision for construction as required by clients documents.

• Examine proposals blueprints and specifications to determine the kind and time period of work necessary for a project.
• Prepare material orders and other documentation.
• Visit job sites to assess progress maintain logs troubleshoot problems and evaluate work.
• Create project plans from estimates and define tasks schedules and necessary personnel.
• Confer with subcontractors vendors and suppliers and negotiate and use local expertise to estimate costs.
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager.

• High School minimum; Degree in related field preferred; Experience overall - two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Must be able to pass background screen
• Experience working in ACCUBID preferred
• Must work at an intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Proficient in take-off estimator planning
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask while staying organized
• Self-Motivated
• Positive customer service skills
