Electrical Estimator
Denver, CO - USA
Job Summary
Kingdom Contracting is a values-driven electrical contracting firm serving developers general contractors and custom builders across Denver South Denver Douglas County and the Front Range -- specializing in multifamily senior living hospitality and commercial projects.
Our mission is simple: we build people through the work of construction. The buildings are the byproduct. The people are the point. Every project is an opportunity -- for a client to see a vision become real for a partner to deliver something they are proud of and for a teammate to grow into the next version of themselves.
We are a team that holds each other to a high standard invests in each others growth and takes pride in work that lasts. If you are someone who takes ownership shows up with diligence holds a standard of excellence and treats everything entrusted to you with care -- you will fit here.
Our four values:
- Ownership -- We see it we own it we handle it. No excuses no passing the buck.
- Diligence -- We work by commitment not mood. Diligence compounds. Feelings stall.
- Excellence -- Not perfection but the standard our clients partners and teammates count on.
- Stewardship -- Everything we touch is entrusted to us. We leave it better than we found it -- including people.
The Electrical Estimator is a critical leadership position at Kingdom Contracting. You will own the bid process from initial RFP to contract award -- leading takeoffs building relationships with vendors and GCs and helping us win the right work at the right margins.
This is not a transactional role. You will be a strategic partner to our Project Managers and field teams and your judgment will directly shape which projects we pursue and how we price them. We are looking for someone who leads with confidence makes calls when calls need to be made and brings both analytical depth and relational intelligence to every bid. You know when to defer to leadership -- and you are not afraid to lead when it is your turn.
Own the Bid Process
- Lead projects from initial RFP through final submission and contract award
- Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs using Accubid and Bluebeam
- Analyze drawings specs and site conditions to identify risks opportunities and value-engineering potential
- Attend pre-bid meetings and walkthroughs to fully understand project scope and logistics
Build and Protect Relationships
- Develop and maintain strong vendor and subcontractor relationships
- Solicit and secure competitive quotes
- Follow up diligently on submitted proposals -- sell the Kingdom Contracting difference and negotiate contract awards
Collaborate Across the Team
- Partner closely with Project Managers and field leadership to ensure a seamless estimate-to-execution transition
- Flag risk early -- bring what you see to the table before it becomes a problem
- Contribute to strategic conversations about project selection margin targets and growth direction
You are succeeding when our bids are accurate our margins are protected and our GC relationships are stronger because of how you show up. When you are at your best leadership has full confidence in what goes out the door -- and the field team inherits a project that was set up to win from day one.
If you thrive here you:
- Lead when its your call. You dont wait for permission to make a decision thats yours to make. You assess you commit and you move -- with confidence and without hesitation.
- Look before you leap. You instinctively identify downstream risk before committing. You strengthen the plan before it launches -- not after.
- Care about the people not just the numbers. You understand that every estimate connects to a crew a client and a reputation. You take that seriously and show up for the people involved -- not just the math.
- Communicate without being asked. Leadership never has to wonder where a bid stands. You keep people informed flag concerns early and close the loop before someone has to chase you.
- Know when to defer -- and when to drive. You respect the leadership above you and align with the direction of the company. But when its time to lead the room you do it. You are not passive and you are not timid.
- Own your outcomes. When something is off you address it. You dont pass it along and hope someone else catches it.
