IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern in Cincinnati OH. Over 10-12 weeks youll assist in the analysis design and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings while working closely with experienced engineers and consultants with an HVAC focus area for this posting.

Youll support project budgets documentation cross-functional coordination and periodic job site observations while contributing to industrial and manufacturing projects. This role offers hands-on exposure to industrial facility and production-space upgrades supporting high-performance energy-efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA2030.

What Youll Do

Assist with electrical system design for projects in accordance with code and IMEG standards

Assist with researching commercially available equipment for project needs

Support client relations maintain the project design notebook and provide documentation for permanent record files

Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines including architectural structural electrical mechanical technology clerical and equipment suppliers

Document design decisions meetings and client instructions while monitoring project design progress

Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to final check

Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information

Conduct periodic job site observations and support other services required by the contract services agreement

What Youll Bring

Required Education

Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required

Experience

Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred

Required Skills/Abilities

Strong interest in design consulting

Previous exposure to CAD and/or BIM software

Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook

Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

State of Ohio Salary Range: $22.00/hour$24.00/hour

The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location.

Individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors including the candidates experience education knowledge skills abilities and licensure and certifications.
