IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern in Freeport this role you will work closely with experienced engineers and consultants on engineering analysis design and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings.

You will support work within project monetary budgets and collaborate with cross-functional teams to help meet project goals and client expectations. The role also includes design coordination documentation project-document review and periodic job site observations.

What Youll Do

Assist with design portions of electrical system projects according to code and IMEG standards.

Assist with researching commercially available equipment resources.

Assist with client relations project design notebooks and documentation for permanent record files.

Assist with coordinating design and schedules with architectural structural electrical mechanical technology clerical and equipment-supplier disciplines.

Assist with documenting design decisions meetings and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.

Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before requesting a final check.

Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.

Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement.

What Youll Bring

Required Education

• Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong interest in design consulting

• Previous exposure to CAD and/or BIM software

• Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook

• Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

Preferred

• Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred

• Tools include AutoCAD Revit SKM and AGi32

State of Maine Pay Range: $22.00$24.00 per hour
The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location.

Individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors including the candidates experience education knowledge skills abilities and licensure and certifications.
