Electrical Engineer Power Studies

Job Summary
- Power system modeling and preparing electrical calculations for solar and battery storage projects and substations
- Reviewing electrical drawings specifications and technical documentation to support power system analysis
- Coordinating with lead engineer EOR on study requirements
- Analyze designs to ensure compliance with NEC IEEE NFPA and NERC standards
- Perform modeling and studies using ETAP WINIGS CYMCAP and others.
- Conduct load flow short circuit arc flash grounding and ampacity studies.
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Electrical Engineering especially in power system analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability
- Skilled in protective device coordination and arc-flash analysis
- Capable of performing grounding system analysis
- Demonstrated experience in load flow short circuit and ampacity studies
- PE Licensure
- MS in Electrical Engineering
- Project experience in power systems or renewables
- Professional engineering societies
- Proficient in modeling and analyzing transients including TOV switching surges and lightning in PSCAD/PSSE
- Knowledge in energy loss calculation
