Job Summary

Our client is growing their multi-discipline engineering practice and is seeking a licensed PE Electrical Engineer to lead the design of building electrical systems across a variety of commercial industrial and institutional projects. This is a hands-on engineering role with leadership responsibility technical ownership and the opportunity to mentor junior staff while working closely with clients. The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to be a Partner in the firm.

This is a direct hire position for our client.

Salary:$100000 to $125000 Depending on Experience

Location: Greenville SC

What Youll Do

As a PE Electrical Engineer youll take ownership of electrical system design from concept through construction.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Design and engineer power distribution lighting and low-voltage systems
  • Perform load calculations short-circuit and fault current analysis and coordination studies
  • Develop single-line diagrams panel schedules wiring layouts and technical specifications
  • Produce and review drawings using AutoCAD and Revit (BIM)
  • Support construction activities including site visits submittal reviews and commissioning
  • Coordinate designs with mechanical civil and structural teams
  • Mentor junior engineers/designers and provide QA/QC oversight
  • Interface with clients utilities and vendors to ensure code compliance and on-time delivery

Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Strong experience with electrical power distribution lighting and low-voltage system design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Working knowledge of NEC IEEE NFPA and applicable state/local electrical codes
  • Previous Project Management experience
  • Forensic engineering or failure analysis experience a plus
  • Renewable energy systems (solar PV) generators or UPS systems experience a plus
  • Client development or proposal writing experience a plus
