Electrical Engineer Chicago IL
Full-Time Competitive Base Salary
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support industrial operations reduce contractor reliance and strengthen inhouse technical capability. This role focuses on low-voltage systems industrial power and NEC-compliant design in manufacturing and hazardous environments.
This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on problem solving improving electrical reliability and supporting a collaborative technical team. Candidates with industrial backgrounds or military engineering experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
What Youll Do
- Provide inhouse electrical engineering support for industrial facilities and production environments.
- Design troubleshoot and maintain low-voltage and power systems including:
420mA instrumentation 120V control circuits Lighting circuits and occasional exposure to 4160V motors
- Interpret and create wiring diagrams conduit schedules and electrical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with National Electric Code (NEC) and hazardous location requirements.
- Collaborate with mechanical and operations teams to improve system reliability and reduce downtime.
What You Bring
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- 3 years of electrical engineering experience
- Strong working knowledge of NEC hazardous locations and industrial safety practices.
- Hands-on experience with low-voltage systems instrumentation and power distribution.
- Ability to read interpret and develop electrical drawings and schematics.
