Job Summary
- Design and implement control systems and panels to maintain and improve manufacturing capabilities and sustainability;
- Prepare cost estimates for new items needed for production and new or modified equipment control needs;
- Select manufacturing controls equipment; prepare specifications confer with vendors and prepare capital appropriations;
- Assist with preparation of expense and capital forecasts budgets controls and expenditures.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for troubleshooting modifying or creating new control systems including PLC and other programming.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of engineering projects to improve the manufacturing operations and processes;
- Responsible for advising Engineering Manager as to plant equipment needs and pending problem areas involving plant equipment;
- Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering;
- A minimum of 2 years of Electrical Engineering / Control Systems Engineering experience is required 4 years is preferred;
- Experience with programming ladder logic is required;
- Experience with troubleshooting modifying or creating new controls; including PLCs is required experience with Allen Bradley is strongly preferred;
- Experience with VFD drives servo drives IO racks is preferred;
- Ability to create and read electrical schematics is preferred;
- Ability to specify and size electrical components is preferred;
- Experience with cost estimates is preferred.
