Electrical Construction Estimator

Oxford Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Estimator to support bidding and preconstruction activities for new construction and renovation projects. This role requires a strong background in electrical estimating including experience with substation systems and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects including new installations and renovation work
• Review drawings specifications scopes of work and bid documents
• Develop material labor equipment and subcontractor cost estimates
• Use McCormick electrical estimating software or a comparable estimating platform
• Evaluate project risks assumptions exclusions and potential cost-saving opportunities
• Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Support bid preparation proposal development and estimate handoffs to project teams
• Maintain accurate estimating records and historical cost information

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Construction Management or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered
• Minimum of 5 years of electrical construction estimating experience
• Experience estimating both new construction and renovation projects
• Working knowledge of electrical substations and associated technologies
• Familiarity with GIS AIS and STATCOM systems
• Experience with electrical estimating software
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings specifications and technical documents
• Strong analytical organizational and communication skills
