You will lead electromagnetic design and development efforts for AC and DC motors ensuring designs meet performance cost and manufacturability targets. You will work onsite with engineering peers vendors customers and cross-functional teams to drive projects from concept through verification and production. Your work directly impacts product performance and manufacturability for the organization.
- Define project goals schedules budgets and technical requirements; drive projects to meet milestones
- Perform electromagnetic motor design and detailed engineering for AC and DC motors
- Integrate gear design and manufacturing considerations into motor and product designs
- Prepare and review schematics layouts CAD models and engineering documentation
- Lead verification activities: analysis simulation and testing to validate product performance
- Coordinate with vendors for tooling fixtures and component supply
- Develop manufacturing process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Present project status to management and engage with customers as needed
- Mentor less-experienced engineers and serve as a technical consultant
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or related technical discipline
- Typically 10 or more years of related engineering experience
- Extensive experience in gear design and manufacturing
- Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles
- Ability to apply advanced engineering principles to complex design and verification tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead projects and communicate with stakeholders
- Working knowledge of solid modeling CAD FEA and simulation software (preferred)
- Experience leading continuous improvement efforts and cross-functional teams
$130k - $160k/year
