Location: Columbia MD or Rockville MD. This role is designed around meaningful in-office collaboration particularly while getting established with our team. Hybrid flexibility is available as performance goals and benchmarks are successfully met.
Note: Candidates must be actively licensed to practice law in Maryland and have 2 years of directly relevant elder law or estate planning experience.

Job Description
- Counsel individuals and families on estate planning elder law asset protection and related planning needs.
- Draft and review wills trusts powers of attorney advance directives and other sophisticated planning documents.
- Advise clients on matters that may include Medicaid planning special needs planning estate and trust administration guardianship and fiduciary issues.
- Lead client meetings and translate complex legal concepts into practical understandable guidance.
- Manage matters from initial consultation through planning documentation and implementation.
- Collaborate with attorneys staff financial professionals and other advisors to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Develop strong client and professional relationships that support the continued growth of the practice.
- Contribute to business development efforts and take an active role in building your own practice within the firm.
Qualifications
- Active Maryland Bar license required.
- 2 years of elder law or estate planning experience required.
- Strong estate planning drafting counseling and client relationship skills.
- Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Excellent written verbal organizational and analytical skills.
- Genuine interest in growing professionally and helping build the practice.
- Experience with special needs planning Medicaid planning estate administration trusts or related areas is a plus.
