Learn more at Viant Medicals website or on the site:Our Laconia site specializes in precision metal manufacturing supporting complex medical components with advanced machining the role:The Environmental Health Safety and Sustainability Coordinator (EHS) is responsible for assisting the companys Environmental Health & Safety in ensuring facility-wide environmental health and safety compliance with government regulations and company-mandated practices and duties and responsibilities:Adhere to company Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements including but not limited to: company Quality Management System (QMS); Environmental Health & Safety; company policies procedures and work instructions; and other relevant regulatory the Site in the EHSS program for all workplace incident reports and investigations. Reporting and working with site leadership for and maintain as necessary all EHSS procedures Equipment Training and Certification maintaining programs for Plant and Personnel and implement strategies to reduce or eliminate in the identification of new equipment and manufacturing technologies to improve manufacturing safety and overall facility site EHSS functions including routine meetings awareness campaigns and the performance of EHSS facility assessments reporting results to Site EHSS training as required by Federal State Local or Viant compliance with Federal State and Local regulations. Including but not limited to OSHA and any other government compliance with all environmental affairs. Including but not limited to wastewater waste all related safety KPIs OSHA logs and Viant specific Preventative Safety duties as requiredQualifications:Must demonstrate good interpersonal presentation and negotiating skills and excellent written and verbal be able to work within a team structure to help develop and implement EHSS computer skills with Microsoft Office have basic knowledge of Federal State and Local regulations (e.g. EPA and OSHA)Experience in manufacturing maintenance environments2 years experience in Environmental Health Safety and Sustainability rolesEnvironmental working conditions:Working with cutting & machining fluids solvents lubricants and other hazardous chemicals using appropriate safety controlsLifting up to 50 poundsModerate to significant amounts of bending lifting twisting and to significant periods of standing and be willing and able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to steel toed Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses CME environment requirements)Benefits:Medical dental and vision benefits-effective date of hire!Company-paid life insurance and disability benefitsGenerous Paid time off and 10 paid Holidays401k Plan with Company MatchTuition ReimbursementVoluntary Universal Life and Long-Term CareVoluntary Legal PlanPet InsuranceHome Ownership Program
