Job Title:Education Specialist - Leadership and Development
Retirees of the Texas Teachers Retirement System (TRS) may apply.Consistent with district policy SD-7.17 Employment of Retirees selected applicants are responsible for reimbursing the district through payroll deduction for the current rate of all TRS pension or TRS Care surcharges. As of September 1 2025 the TRS pension surcharge rate is 16.5% and the TRS Care surcharge is $535/month.

Pay Group: A55 Salary Plan
Primary Purpose:This role spearheads specified leadership and development initiatives to foster growth at various levels throughout Windham. This role will also serve to boost employee satisfaction retention and overall district performance by focusing on the tuition reimbursement and leadership academy programs.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Experience:
Bachelors degree from a college or university accredited by CHEA. Major coursework in Business Administration Criminal Justice Education Human Resources Behavioral Science or related field and wage-earning experience within the education in corrections setting at the district-wide support level.
Experience in developing training programs required. Experience in LMS administration or a similar role. Experience in Windham School District preferred. Demonstrated experience in conducting individual small group and team training sessions. Experience working in an educational environment preferred. This position requires personal technology for remote work and extensive travel.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Administer and manage the Leadership Academy Learning Management System (LMS) including content development
enrollment tracking support and reporting.
2. Research develop facilitate review and evaluate training programs and materials.
3. Oversee and manage the tuition reimbursement program.
4. Monitor and develop programming based on retention and survey data.
5. Work closely with other departments to boost staff morale.
6. Assists in the Onboarding processes.
7. Participate in Professional Development Department functions.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Policy Reports and Law:
Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Perform duties professionally through punctual attendance.
Follow district policies and procedures.
Execute duties ethically under 19 TAC Chapter 247.
Working Conditions
Mental Demands:
Ability to communicate instruct reason compile data interpret policy and procedures concentrate organize analyze maintain confidentiality and work with interruptions.
Physical Demands:
Perform full duties lift up to 30 pounds walk sit stand travel drive distinguish colors and work irregular hours when needed.
Environmental Demands:
Work inside and outside exposure to noise energy sources moving machinery temperature extremes dust and cleaning chemicals.
