Proven Strides Learning Center is opening soon at the Eden Center in Erie and were building our leadership team from the ground up.
As the Assistant Daycare Director youll have the opportunity to work alongside center leadership to establish the systems expectations team culture and family experience that will define Proven Strides.
Our center is being designed around working families with extended operating hours including evenings and weekends.
That means we need leaders who are adaptable dependable organized and passionate about both children and the people who care for them.

The Assistant Director supports center leadership across daily operations staffing compliance family communication classroom quality and employee development.
Youll help keep the center running smoothly while serving as an important connection between the Director teaching staff children and families.
- Support daily staffing scheduling classroom coverage ratios and transitions.
- Assist with employee onboarding orientation records training observations and coaching.
- Support DHS licensing and Keystone STARS documentation.
- Help maintain inspection-ready files and records.
- Assist families with enrollment tours questions communication and concerns.
- Support ProCare administration.
- Monitor classrooms for safety supervision curriculum implementation and professionalism.
- Provide qualified classroom coverage when needed.
- Serve as an acting leader or designee when assigned and appropriately qualified.
- Assist with emergency drills incident review supplies maintenance requests and center events.
- Help build a positive accountable team-oriented workplace culture.
Applicants must meet Pennsylvania Group Supervisor/Lead Teacher qualifications under 3270.35.
Employees assigned Director-level regulatory responsibilities must also possess the qualifications required to perform those duties.
Were particularly interested in candidates with:
- An associate or bachelors degree in ECE Child Development Education Human Services or a related field.
- 2 years of childcare experience with lead or supervisory responsibilities.
- Pennsylvania Directors Credential or progress toward obtaining it.
- Knowledge of Keystone STARS and the PA Professional Development Registry.
- Strong organizational and staff-coaching skills.
- Experience with ProCare or similar childcare management software.
$20.00$25.00 per hour based on verified qualifications education credentials childcare experience and leadership experience.
