Department highlights:
- Performs diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring high-quality image production by appropriately positioning patients adjusting technical factors and analyzing image quality for accuracy and safety.
- Delivers patient-centered care by explaining procedures assessing physical and emotional needs and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support safe and effective imaging services.
- Operates and maintains advanced imaging equipment adhering to quality control safety and regulatory standards while supporting a clean and efficient clinical environment.
Heres What You Need
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Associates Degree Graduate of an accredited school of ultrasound technology Preferred
1 Year experience preferably in a hospital setting Preferred
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Upon Hire Required Or
Registered Cardiac Sonographer Upon Hire Required And
Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

1 Year experience preferably in a hospital setting Preferred

What You Will Do
- Explains procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to exam
- Positions patient to correct anatomical area of interest
- Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations
- Processes and manipulates images analyzes image quality troubleshoots makes technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed
- Assesses and recognizes the patients emotional physical developmental cognitive and psychosocial conditions
- Operates cares for and maintains equipment

Entity Highlights:
Texas Health Hospital Rockwall has served Rockwall Kaufman Hunt and surrounding counties since 2007. Our 105-bed acute care hospital provides medical and surgical services to patients from Rockwall Heath Fate Royse City McLendon-Chisholm eastern Dallas County southern Collin County and nearby communities.
