Job Summary

Early Intervention Specialist - TherapeuticHOURLY PAY: $20.20/hour plus mileage reimbursementPositions start as part-time hours (about 20-25 per week); potential to build up to full-time hours - depending on availability and caseload in certain areasPosition Location: TronaRaising a child with a developmental disability is a journey that takes knowledge love patience and support. You will be part of a team that provides early intervention specialized services for school-age children and youth to help them learn and schedule and provide weekly early intervention services for a caseload of school-age children/adolescents who have developmental work in school settings 1-on-1 in a therapeutic capacity to work on specific behavioral or developmental goals with each and document all program assessments and updates accurately to meet implement and adapt activities for language cognitive fine and gross motor sensory self-help and social/emotional development for each individual child utilizing best effective adult-child interactions and provide written information on parenting child development and provide parents with written weekly activities and effective document and share the childs progress with the family and is a great position to start or advance in a therapeutic services career. We want to see our employees succeed!Qualifications:Education:Bachelors degree in Psychology Sociology Human Development or a related major is RequiredExperience: One year experience working/volunteering with infants or young children and their parents/guardians *if candidate has Bachelors degree then experience may not be requiredABA and/or Behavior Management skills/experience/training is highly desiredLicense: Valid CA drivers license in good standing;Also must have at least one year of history as a licensed driver (in any US state)Vehicle: Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance coverageSkills/Characteristics: Effective communication skills to manage relationships A compassionate approach A commitment to quality in everything you doStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and meet deadlinesAvailability: most sessions will be during the day time on the week days but some flexibility with availability including some evenings and weekend times may be neededIMPORTANT NOTE: School-based position that is based on school year schedule; when schools are on break in summer and winter months it can impact working hours for this positionWorking environment: Services provided in school settingWhy Join UsPart-time (about 20-25 hrs/week average) to start - possible to build up caseload to full-time (about 32 hours/week on average)Full compensation/benefits package for employees working 32 hours/week including: health benefits 401(k) with company match and Paid time off and holiday payOn-Demand pay - get paid as you go if you want!
