Job Summary

Belvedere Trading is a leading proprietary trading firm proudly headquartered in downtown Chicago. The People Team is comprised of Employee Experience People Operations Talent and People & Development. These groups work closely together to bring in the best talent for Team Belvedere and from day one make sure that all team members have all the tools they need to succeed and develop through their tenure.

Were currently looking for an Early Career Talent Partner to own hiring for our Trading Department building the pipeline of quantitative traders and trading-adjacent talent that keeps Belvedere competitive. This role will be responsible for attracting and hiring high-potential colleagues developing quality relationships with student groups and academic programs that feed into our industry and building a strong employer brand among the communities that produce top trading talent. You will own have stakeholder relationships with Trading leadership and strategically partner with the business to drive hiring and lead best practices in trading talent acquisition for interns graduates and those early in their professional careers.

What youll do

Execute the early career recruitment strategy for the Trading Department and influence future campus recruiting cycles including undergraduate and graduate-student recruitment

Represent Belvedere at collegiate trading competitions poker tournaments and industry networking events using these events as a primary sourcing and brand-building channel for quant trading talent

Foster and maintain relationships with campus trading groups investment clubs and quant/finance student organizations positioning Belvedere as a destination employer within those communities

Build and deepen pipelines with academic programs that feed directly into our industry (such as financial mathematics financial engineering quantitative/quant research applied math and statistics programs) including faculty program-director relationships and alumni groups

Full-cycle campus recruiting for Trading roles: managing a high-volume candidate pipeline from initial application through Super Day and offer stage in partnership with our People Operations team on engagement and onboarding including candidates with extended non-compete periods

Partner with Trading hiring managers to understand evolving skill and market needs (quantitative reasoning probability market intuition) and translate them into sourcing strategy and candidate evaluation criteria

Represent Belvedere during campus visits and virtual open houses presenting our internship programs and early trading talent development paths

Retroactively analyze engagement efforts to understand the return on strategic partnerships (competitions clubs academic programs) and the success of new engagements out of the box engagement ideas area embraced

Provide a high-touch candidate and hiring manager experience by articulating our core values in ways that resonate with a quantitative trading-focused candidate pool

Evaluate and measure recruiting results and identify areas for process and performance improvement systematization and automation

What youll need

2 years recruitment experience preferably with intern entry-level and early career talent pools in fintech professional services and financial firms

Ability to manage full-cycle recruiting process including resume review phone screens interview scheduling and facilitation and offer calls

Demonstrated success recruiting at multiple universities in highly competitive markets ideally within quantitative trading prop trading or finance

Comfort engaging with quantitative and markets-adjacent concepts (probability statistics game theory) enough to speak credibly to trading competition organizers quant faculty and student trading groups

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to travel as needed during peak campus recruiting periods in the fall and spring including to trading competitions and conferences

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/projects meet deadlines and facilitate change with a sense of urgency

Proven analytical organizational and decision-making skills with demonstrated negotiation skills and influencing positive outcomes

Eager to take on new tasks/responsibilities and passion for candidate experience operational excellence and continuous development

Experience coordinating and participating in both in-person and virtual recruiting events/activities

Comfortable working with and presenting recruitment data and market data reporting and analytics

Bachelors Degree

$70000 - $90000 a year
