Reports to: Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Teaching & Learning Consultant Secondary Partnership

Work Schedule/FLSA Status: 12-month year-round position/ Salaried Exempt

Salary Schedule: Schedule S04 92B Specialist 2 starting at $64422.55 per school year. Salary credit may be awarded for applicable experience.

Position Purpose:

The Dual Enrollment Project Management Specialist provides support for the coordination oversight progress monitoring and implementation of the dual enrollment expansion within the Department of Curriculum and Instruction Support. The position reports to the Teaching & Learning Consultant in Secondary Education who ensures seamless access to dual-enrollment opportunities strengthens college and career-readiness systems and supports student attainment of college credit and industry-recognized credentials prior to high school graduation. This is a grant-funded position.

Essential Performance Responsibilities:

Project Support & Coordination

  • Assists with districtwide dual enrollment implementation.
  • Coordinates administrative functions and activities related to dual enrollment expansion across all high school campuses.
  • Supports the continuous improvement of dual enrollment procedures and systems to streamline project operations.
  • Follows district policies state regulations post-secondary agreements and FERPA requirements.
  • Tracks required forms deadlines approvals and other project requirements and follows up with appropriate staff to support timely completion.

Student Enrollment & Postsecondary Access

  • Coordinates efforts with schools and college partners to support dual enrollment scheduling registration enrollment and student participation.
  • Supports Access College Early (ACE)Scholarship enrollment cycles and monitors participation trends.

Progress Monitoring & Data Use

  • Collaborates with the Research department team to obtain data to monitor enrollment attainment persistence grade point average attendance and On-Track indicators.
  • Participate in monthly contact review meetings and quarterly progress-monitoring meetings.

Data Systems & Reporting

  • Supports the development and maintenance of the dual-enrollment reporting database and the SharePoint evidence collection system.
  • Develops and maintains project artifacts progress reports implementation documentation and evaluation evidence.
  • Prepares annual grant progress reports and outcome summaries for review and approval by Administration.

Communication & Information Access

  • Maintains dual enrollment-related informational resources.
  • Supports communication efforts with school dual-enrollment coordinators postsecondary navigators and administrators regarding dual enrollment college readiness financial literacy FAFSA career pathways and industry certifications.

Partnership Development & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinates the scheduling of activities among secondary schools colleges universities businesses and community organizations.
  • Facilitates project orientation stakeholder engagement and partnership meetings quarterly or more often as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with internal and external dual enrollment support staff to ensure continuity of student services and information.

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

  • Supports the organization and maintenance of the program evaluation process. Assist with baseline data collection cohort identification and outcome evaluation.

Systems Change Outcomes

  • Supports the districtwide progress-monitoring system for dual-enrollment implementation.

Additional Duties:

Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisor and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • A minimum of a bachelors degree is required.
  • Minimum one to three years of project management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the K-12 educational environment and/or post-secondary dual enrollment is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software including Word and Excel.
  • Extensive writing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and manage conflict including
  • Appropriate handling of all confidential matters.
  • Strong organizational skills and the experience and knowledge to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem sensitivity awareness and the ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem; it only involves recognizing that there is a problem.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when needed

Equipment: This position requires the ability to use basic office equipment

including computers copiers scanners and a fax machine. Must always comply with OPSs guidelines for equipment use.

Travel: In-state travel to conferences may be required.

Physical and Mental Demands Work Hazards:

  • Must be able to respond rapidly in emergency situations.
  • Must possess strong organizational time management communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work in an office environment school buildings and warehouse settings.

Interrelations:

  • Contact with personnel within the district as well as with customers and vendors.
  • Will work under the direct supervision of the department supervisor to complete day-to-day tasks.
  • Will be working with a diverse population requiring the ability to handle all situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Must understand and respond appropriately to customer needs and maintain a positive attitude with all customers and colleagues.
  • Expected to interact with all internal and external customers in a friendly professional manner and provide quick responsive customer service.

Employee Punctuality and Appearance:

  • For schools to operate effectively employees are expected to perform all assigned duties and work all scheduled hours during each designated workday unless they have received approved leave.
  • Any deviation from assigned hours must be approved in advance by the employees supervisor or building administrator.
  • All employees are required to report to work dressed in a manner that reflects a positive image of Omaha Public Schools and is appropriate for their position.

Terms of Employment:

This position is a classified full-time exempt position. The terms of your employment will be governed by applicable state laws regulating employment in a Nebraska public school and Board of Education policies as those laws and policies may change from time to time. If your position is represented by a collective bargaining representative your employment will also be governed by a negotiated agreement between OPS and that representative.
