Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team. Your responsibilities will include assisting with self-care medication compliance meal preparation housekeeping and more. You will also help clients develop decision-making skills schedule and attend appointments and engage in their community.

Introducing our new work schedule: 12-hour shifts with a 3 or 4-day work week. This allows for full-time work with up to 16 days off per month! You can enjoy more than half the year off while still working full-time. Additionally we allow and encourage you to pick up extra shifts.
Job Types: Full Time
Shifts Available (2 openings):
- Full Time 36: Sunday Monday and Wednesday 7am-7pm: South Side Des Moines
- Full time 40: Monday-Friday 10am-6pm: Ankney
Pay: $16.00 /hr
* This pay range represents Candeos average range for this role at the time of posting based on 3 days work schedule (2 weekdays & 1 weekend). Compensation offered will depend on various factors including but not limited to Number days works shift type and site need.

What You Will Do:
- Ensure services to client meet the highest quality possible
- Ensure that client budgeted hours are provided
- Support staff to understand and implement clients care plan
- Ensure effective relationships between all stakeholders of the organization (clients staff P/G/As case managers etc.)
- Be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all documents and reports relating to the position
- Ensure clients are educated and empowered to make choices about services
- Demonstrate knowledge understanding and implementation of the clients Life Plan in accordance with clients preferences
- Follow established safety practices and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for clients and the organization
- Work effectively within a team to enhance service delivery
- Respect the right to privacy of the client and confidentiality requirements of Candeo
- Use initiative to think creatively learn and grow
- Model and use good decision-making skills and accesses appropriate resources to assist in developing quality services for clients
- Attend organizational and client-specific training and provide documentation of certifications required for employment with Candeo
- Comply with documentation policies by submitting accurate and timely paperwork including progress notes billing sheets time sheets expense logs and other required reports
- Maintain documentation of services provided that clearly and legibly reflects the clients goals staff intervention and support client response and progress made
DAILY Department
- 24/7 Services
- Structured 12-hour shifts (7am7pm & 7pm-7am)
- Follows a 3- or 4-day workweek rotation allowing full-time hours with many days off per month
- Daily positions exist for daytime overnight and 3-day weekend packages
- Pay includes weekday base rates and higher weekend premium rates
- Designed for staff who prefer predictable consistent shift structures with fewer total working days

Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in working with individuals with disabilities and mental health is must
- Licenses/Requirements:
- Valid Class C Iowa Drivers License.
- Proof of Automobile Insurance.
- Must pass required background checks.
- Access to a reliable computer and internet for documentation or ability to travel to a location with access.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills compassion and sensitivity while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Ability to follow detailed Individual Support Plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate reliability in attendance and punctuality.
Work Environment Client home and community including but not limited to medical providers retail stores outdoor recreation and indoor recreation Work and travel in all types of weather including inclement weather
Travel During scheduled work hours Approved mileage and expenses are reimbursed
Physical Demands Bending sitting standing twisting reaching driving climbing stairs climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl talk or hear taste or smell lifting and carrying. Must be able to lift and carry various items when supporting clients; including groceries supplies and to provide physical assistance to clients as indicated in the client Individual Support Plan
