Job Summary
AHRC New York City is seeking compassionate and dedicated Per-Diem Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in our adult day programs.
- Location: Brooklyn Programs.
- Job Type: Per-Diem (with potential to become Full-Time with Full Benefits based on performance).
- Pay Rate: $20 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM (30 hours a week).

Responsibilities:
- Support individuals with disabilities in leading self-directed lives and becoming active members of their communities.
- The oversight of all safety and health considerations
- Promoting skill development interests and hobbies
- Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience personal of professional working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
- Knowledge of Home and Community-Based Waiver services is a plus.
- Understanding of Person-Centered Planning.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
- Flexibility to meet the scheduling needs of individuals.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals families staff and community agencies.
