DSP Day Program (Per-Diem) Brooklyn

AHRC New York City is seeking compassionate and dedicated Per-Diem Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in our adult day programs. 

• Location: Brooklyn Programs.
• Job Type: Per-Diem (with potential to become Full-Time with Full Benefits based on performance).
• Pay Rate: $20 per hour.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM (30 hours a week).

Responsibilities:

• Support individuals with disabilities in leading self-directed lives and becoming active members of their communities.
• The oversight of all safety and health considerations
• Promoting skill development interests and hobbies
• Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience personal of professional working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of Home and Community-Based Waiver services is a plus.
• Understanding of Person-Centered Planning.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Flexibility to meet the scheduling needs of individuals.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals families staff and community agencies.
