Starting Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.10 per hour
Schedule: On-Call (with weekly opportunities to pick up shifts)
Summary
The Driver plays a key role in supporting resident engagement by providing safe reliable transportation for community outings appointments and special events. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining community vehicles coordinating trip logistics ensuring accurate billing for outings and assisting residents throughout their travel experience. Drivers may also accompany residents on excursions to provide additional support and enhance their overall experience.
What Youll Do
- Safely transport residents using community shuttles and vans while adhering to traffic laws schedules and established transportation procedures.
- Assist residents with boarding and exiting vehicles including operating wheelchair lifts and securing mobility devices.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report maintenance needs and ensure vehicles remain clean fueled and in excellent operating condition.
- Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance and transport vehicles to service providers as needed.
- Provide residents with information about scheduled trips outings and transportation services.
- Foster positive interactions with residents guests and team members while supporting individuals with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Accompany residents on outings when additional support or supervision is needed.
- Ensure resident outings and transportation services are accurately documented and billed.
What Were Looking For
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school graduate GED or equivalent.
- Fluency in English required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Must have valid WA State driver license in good standing.
- Must display an ability to understand maps and remain composed during an emergency.
- Must be able to pass a DOT Physical
- Certification in American Red Cross First Aid and CPR. (We will provide necessary instruction after hire.)
