What You Will Do:

  • Provide safe dependable and respectful transportation for individuals served by BHNs Substance Use Services programs.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and follow all traffic laws posted speed limits BHN policies and applicable transportation requirements.
  • Transport individuals to healthcare appointments treatment programs and the next appropriate level of care as scheduled.
  • Coordinate all trips with the Office Manager or designated program leader and maintain punctual pickup and drop-off times.
  • Protect the confidentiality privacy dignity and personal information of every individual served.
  • Monitor the condition of assigned vehicles ensure routine maintenance is completed as directed and report safety or maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Immediately report accidents incidents delays emergencies and other concerns to the appropriate program leader and request guidance when needed.
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with BHNs Driver Policy and demonstrate safe attentive and courteous driving practices at all times.
  • Complete transportation logs incident reports program forms and other required documentation accurately thoroughly and on time.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals served and program staff attend required meetings and trainings complete assigned program duties and perform other responsibilities requested by the supervisor.

Who You Are:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least six months of driving experience required.
  • Valid drivers license and a clean or otherwise acceptable driving record that meets BHN Driver Policy requirements.
  • Two years of sobriety preferred when applicable to the candidates lived experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills with the ability to interact respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural racial ethnic religious gender-identity and sexual-orientation backgrounds.
  • Dependable punctual detail-oriented and organized with the ability to coordinate schedules and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality use sound judgment follow instructions recognize safety concerns and seek supervisory guidance appropriately.
  • Ability to remain calm attentive and professional in high-demand stressful or unexpected situations.
  • Basic proficiency with agency communication systems computers and required program documentation.
  • Ability to spend extended periods operating a company vehicle and meet the physical requirements of the role including walking and lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
