Job Description

Cresco Equipment Rentals has a need for a Driver - Class C based at our South San Francisco CA location.

SUMMARY

The Driver - Class C safely transports rental equipment while ensuring full compliance with DOT and company standards. This role supports customers by delivering retrieving inspecting and demonstrating equipment maintaining accurate documentation and communicating feedback. The position also oversees vehicle and equipment condition tracks inventory and upholds a professional company image through safe operations and customer-focused service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Operate load unload secure and transport rental equipment using delivery trucks and trailers.

• Follow delivery and pickup instructions from Dispatcher and/or Manager.

• Maintain a safe working environment and observe all company Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier safety procedures laws policies and rules.

• Maintain an accurate Record of Duty Status log.

• Perform daily DOT vehicle operational safety inspections.

• Monitor maintain and inspect assigned delivery vehicles in accordance with manufacturer company and DOT guidelines.

• Ensure all required registrations permits and inspections are current and valid.

• Deliver and retrieve equipment to and from customer sites.

• Inspect equipment for damage when picking up equipment from customers.

• Determineeach customers ability to use the equipment in a safe manner.

• Demonstrate use of rental equipment to customers.

• Track and maintain truck equipment inventory.

• Wash fuel and maintain rental equipment as directed.

• Promote positive company image through professional conduct and truck appearance.

• Accurately relay customer concerns and feedback to the appropriate person.

• Complete all rental and related documents in an accurate and timely manner.

• Maintain regular punctual and predictable attendance.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

• Work overtime as needed within labor law and DOT guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily safely and in alignment with Petersons core values. • Must maintain updated knowledge of applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier regulations and requirements.

• Knowledge of hydraulics electronics gas machinery and diesel machinery preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and a minimum of one (1) year of driving experience preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

CERTIFICATES LICENCENSES REGISTRATIONS

• Must maintain a valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.

The pay range for this position is: $22.10 - $25.01 (Starting wage will depend on experience and education. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base pay.)
