$23 - $26 / hour full-time Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5pm regular on-call rotation
Essential Functions:
- Delivers sets up and instructs customers and caregivers on the proper usage of home medical equipment. Typical equipment includes hospital beds walkers manual and power wheelchairs patient lifts lift chairs oxygen concentrators suction machines and enteral pumps
- Safely loads secures transports and unloads equipment in compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Performs basic visual inspections of equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness for customer use
- Communicates compassionately and professionally with customers caregivers and family members providing clear customer-friendly instructions onthe safe operation care and proper use of equipment
- Demonstrates equipment operation while ensuring customer and/or caregiver understanding before leaving the site
- Follows HIPAA guidelines and always maintains patient confidentiality
- Adheres to infection control cleaning and safety protocols
- Assesses and repairs home medical equipment and complex rehab equipment per the manufacturers guidelines and in conjunction with resources provided by the vendor (customer and technical support website and manufacturer literature)
- Coordinates schedules with coordinators and/or leadership for timely deliveries assessments and repairs
- Remains current with applicable accreditation payer state and federal regulatory authorities that oversee the home medical equipment industry
- Ensures the full and appropriate completion of all required documents upon delivery
- Participates in call rotation to provide emergency 24-hour service to customers
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer related mechanical and/or technical experience
- Auto mechanic experience a plus
- Must possess a valid drivers license
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong communication skills to include all communication types
