DLO Evening Shift Microbiology MLSMLT I

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO)

Location: Oklahoma City OK

Hours: 4pm-2:30am (4-10 hour shifts) rotating weekends and holidays

Essential Functions:

• Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift
• Perform all assigned duties and processes including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities
• Maintain a positive professional and supportive attitude throughout the workday
• Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful productive work environment

• Perform tests in microbiology and assist with specimen processing as needed.

• Follow employer policies work with fellow employees in a professional productive manner and perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.

Required Knowledge: General laboratory knowledge including the ability to use computers. Must have knowledge of QA and QC. Previous experience in Microbiology or Molecular Biology preferred.

Education Requirements: BS in chemical biological or clinical laboratory science/medical laboratory technology; Previously qualified as a technologist under 42 CFR 493.1489

Credentials: ASCP or equivalent exam eligible within 1-3 years MLT/MLS certification preferred

Special Requirements:

• Ability to maintain a professional courteous and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress.
• Teamwork with fellow employees is a must.
• Keyboard skills are important.
• Good customer service skills professional appearance and attitude.
• Must work overtime or other shifts if required.
• Able to work 10 hour shifts rotating weekends and holidays.
