Come Drive Innovation with Us.We are currently looking for a District Technical Service Manager to join our team in the Southeast Region.
A Day in the Life:
The District Technical Service Manager (DTSM) serves as Nissans primary technical field representative supporting dealership service operations customer satisfaction and complex vehicle repair resolution. This role works closely with dealership personnel regional teams and corporate partners to diagnose difficult vehicle concerns improve service performance support customer case resolutions and drive operational excellence across assigned dealerships.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise and support for complex vehicle repairs and diagnostic concerns that dealership technicians are unable to resolve.
Conduct regular dealership visits to evaluate service operations customer satisfaction performance technician development and overall service effectiveness.
Meet with vehicle customers as necessary to confirm scope of concern conditions or to demonstrate expected vehicle performance.
Partner with dealership leadership to identify improvement opportunities develop action plans and enhance customer retention and service quality.
Collaborate with Engineering Technical Hotline Consumer Affairs and regional teams to address vehicle quality concerns and customer issues.
Investigate vehicle incidents document findings and prepare reports related to product performance customer concerns and legal matters.
Evaluate customer buyback vehicles and coordinate repair recommendations and final disposition.
Represent Nissan in arbitration Lemon Law warranty and product-related cases as a technical subject matter expert.
Review technician training needs service processes warranty activity and special tool requirements while promoting dealership certification and service excellence.
Provide guidance and recommendations regarding warranty and goodwill claim approvals.
Who Were Looking for:
Required:
Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
4 years of automotive technical experience required.
Previous dealership manufacturer field service technical hotline or leadership experience preferred.
Master technician credentials with an automotive brand or equivalent technical training (AAS degree vocational certification etc.).
Current ASE Master Certification (minimum A1-A8 L1) or confirmed ability to promptly gain required certifications.
Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical electrical ADAS and infotainment systems.
Excellent communication problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications.
Desired:

Strong analytical organizational and customer-focused mindset.
Ability to influence dealership partners and drive positive operational outcomes.
Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory including overnight travel (75%).
