Dispatcher (Venice, FL)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assigns loads to drivers based on designated routesjobsand driver location.

• Monitors route time intervals for gaps.

• Monitors employee hours to minimize overtime.

• Balances the distribution of hoursbetween drivers.

• Monitors driver times to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

• Ensuresdriver DOT logs are current before dispatching drivers.

• Collectsdaily pre- and post-trip inspections.

• Creates work orders for the shop.

• Collects completed work orders and enters data into trackingspreadsheetor other systems.

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned orapparent.

Job Qualifications

Education:

• High School diploma or GED

Experience and Competencies:

• Experience in a customer-facing position.

• Two years of prior experience working as a dispatcher preferred.
